Cheltenham Queen Mother Champion Chase Day 2012

The centre piece of the second day of the Cheltenham Festival is the Queen Mother Champion Chase run over 2 miles. This race looks to be between last years winner Sizing Europe (pictured), Big Zeb and Finians Rainbow. Sizing Europe has been in tremendous form this season and it is difficult to see him getting beat.

It was decided on Monday to run Grand Crus in the RSA Chase for novice chasers over 3 miles rather than go for the Cheltenham Gold Cup. He will be a warm favourite to win this race.

The other races on the card look a nightmare to solve but Alfie Spinner in the National Hunt Chase over 4 miles for amateur riders might give Sam Waley- Cohen a good spin round the course in preparation for Fridays Gold Cup.
